Hey, my name is Jade and I am currently in my second year studying a double degree of Fine Arts (Interactive and Visual Design) and Business (Advertising).
When I was in high school, I had the incredible opportunity to study at QUT through the START QUT Program. This was an amazing way for me to gain knowledge of my desired course, the university and make friends early.
I chose QUT because of its reputation, the ability to study a double degree across two faculties as well as the amazing environment and location that QUT offers.
I love my course because I study practical, fun and interesting design briefs that I know I will experience in the real world. The business side of my degree gives me more knowledge of business functions and design in business, creating a powerful combination of knowledge to apply after I graduate.
My advice for university life would be to find a comfortable balance between studying, working and of course having fun and socialising. Always make sure to look after yourself and take time off to relax with friends.
