Campus tours

Our Student Recruitment team can arrange guided tours of our Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and Caboolture campuses for students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

What do tours include?

The tours include:

  • a walk through the campus, showing the facilities and support services on offer
  • a student ambassador who'll share their student life experience
  • a Real Choices presentation (for Year 11 or 12 students)
  • a Quick Guide to QUT presentation (for Year 10 students).

Real Choices presentation

Audience: Year 11 or 12 students
Duration: minimum 45 minutes

Our standard presentation includes information about courses, support services, scholarships, admission and the Q-Step Scheme.

This is followed by a student life presentation from one of our student ambassadors.

A quick guide to QUT

Audience: Year 10 students
Duration: minimum 45 minutes

This presentation encourages students to start their career planning and can assist with future subject selection. It also follows the journey of a QUT student from high school to their current course.

If your Year 10 students require more detailed information on QUT courses and OP cut-offs, let us know when you book and we can tailor a presentation for you.

How long do tours take?

You should allow for:

  • at least one and a half hours to tour one campus
  • an extra hour if you want to visit both city campuses (Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove)
  • additional time if you'd like to include a lunch break.

Getting here

Once we've confirmed your booking, we'll send you a detailed letter that includes information on bus parking and campus maps.

Regional schools

If you're travelling to QUT from a regional destination, it's a good idea to visit the Kelvin Grove campus. This campus is home to Kelvin Grove Student Village, QUT's preferred on-campus accommodation.

Unfortunately, Kelvin Grove Student Village apartments may only be viewed during university holiday periods. However, we always take students through the Student Village courtyard during a Kelvin Grove campus tour and will try to show your students an apartment when available.

Other accommodation options are also available through our accommodation service.

Health, safety and behaviour of students on campus

The majority of the tour is conducted outdoors. Students should bring:

  • sunscreen
  • hats
  • water bottles, which can be refilled at water bubblers around campus.

At the start of each tour, our staff will inform the group of any campus health and safety requirements, but the main responsibility for the welfare and behaviour of your students lies with your school and the attending staff.

QUT staff are not responsible for managing the behavior of your students. Attending school staff must remain with the group at all times.
