Why study urban development at QUT?
We offer nationally and internationally unique courses in:
- construction management
- quantity surveying
- property economics
- spatial science
- urban and regional town planning.
We're a research partner and host of the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc), the Cooperative Research Centre for Construction Innovation (CRCCI) and the Construction Industry Institute of Australia (CIIA).
Our engineering labs and workshops accommodate flexible laboratory spaces that facilitates urban development activities such as:
- hands-on design
- geo-materials testing
- spatial sciences
- instrumentation
- rapid prototyping
- experimental materials.
From 2012, students will study in our new $230 million Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines in a world leading model.
We host Next Generation Property (NGP), a student society that engages industry, students and alumni in networking and social events throughout the year.
