Why study medical radiation sciences at QUT?
We are the only university in Queensland to offer medical imaging technology and radiotherapy undergraduate degrees.
In recent years, more than 95% of our graduates found full-time employment within four months of graduation.
Courses are designed in consultation with clinical staff from radiology and radiation oncology departments, so you will gain advanced knowledge of new diagnostic techniques and industry-standard equipment and laboratories, including:
- X-ray Analysis Facility
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Laboratory
These laboratories allow our students to graduate with experience using treatment planning equipment and techniques similar to those used in industry.
From 2012, students will study in our new $230 million Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines in a world leading model.
