Why study chemistry at QUT?
We are leading national research to develop portable tools for screening of chemical and biological hazards.
Our research and teaching are delivering up-to-date knowledge on the new technologies and applications applied worldwide for law enforcement, crime scene investigations and homeland security.
We are an active player in transforming forensics from a justice-serving tool only, into a modern applied science delivering forensic intelligence and crime prevention to safeguard our community.
Our researchers collectively published more than 500 refereed journal papers, which have been downloaded from QUT's eprints more than 100,000 times in the past 12 months.
From 2012, students will study in our new $230 million Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines in a world leading model.
