'My applied science degree was an ideal stepping stone to research studies. I am currently involved in a QUT project to develop a vaccine which will ultimately prevent and cure chlamydia occurring in Australian wildlife such as koalas. QUT's practical approach to teaching provided me with many skills that are transferable to a range of careers and fields.'

Why study biogeoscience at QUT?

We are working closely with industry to be part of the solution to increasing environmental issues such as:

climate change
air, water and soil quality
soil erosion
dry land salinity
water resources.

Our teaching staff maintain links with government organisations and industry, via research and consultancy work, to ensure our courses are up to date and relevant.

From 2012, students will study in our new $230 million Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines in a world leading model.
