I expected the EMBA to round me off as a leader by complementing my technology skills with broader management skills. And it did. I went from managing a team of dozens of people with a budget of millions of dollars to managing nearly 800 people with a budget of well over 100 million. The study I'd undertaken in that first year gave me enormous confidence as well as providing me with great new theories and skills. From the first weekend of study right through to the last, I seldom ever learnt anything in the EMBA that I didn’t get a chance to put into practice at work.
