Disability support
We support you if you have a disability, injury or health condition by providing services to help you manage studying.
A disability is any impairment, injury or medical condition, which may affect your studies. Some physical or sensory disabilities may be obvious, while others may not be, such as diabetes, epilepsy, dyslexia or mental health problems. A disability may be permanent, short-term or episodic in nature. It is important to inform us of your disability, so that we can provide you with the support you need while you're studying.
Disability Advisers and support
If you have a disability, injury or health condition, you should make an appointment with a Disability Adviser as early as possible. We'll work together to develop and maintain a service plan according to your needs.
Our services include:
- assistive technology support
- alternative formatting of course materials
- assessment support
- note taker program.
Disability Advisers are your first point of contact for gaining access to our services. All information supplied by you will be treated confidentially by our Disability Advisers.
Disability Advisers on your campus
If you have queries relating to your course, such as deciding which units you should enrol in, you should contact your Course Coordinator, school or faculty.
Physical access
We have an ongoing program to ensure all buildings are constructed in accordance with accessibility standards for students with a disability.
