Cost

The new HSK consists of a series of 6 levels of testing (Level 1 is the lowest level and Level 6 is the highest). The table below shows the level of vocabulary expected for the different levels.

The Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is an internationally standard, comprehensive and authoritative testing system, designed for non-native Chinese speakers who are learning Chinese language and wish to seek opportunity to work, study or live in China.

The advantage of this test is that it demonstrates to companies and universities that students have achieved particular levels of competence that are internationally recognised.

The Confucius Institute at QUT is a Hanban authorized testing centre for the HSK tests in the State of Queensland.

Registration is now open for 2013.

Payment

When you register for the course, you will create an account with us. You'll need to pay your fees online by credit or debit card.

You will be able to access your account, including your invoice, using your email address and password.

FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for Continuing Professional Education courses.

Once you've registered and paid for the test on our registration site, we'll send you instructions for registering on the Hanban (HSK/YCT test centre) website.

Cancellation

To cancel your registration, you must apply in writing to the Course Manager at the Office of Continuing Professional Education.

If you cancel before the registration closing date, we will fully refund your test fees. If you cancel after the registration closing date but ten days prior to the test, 50% of fees will be refunded. If you cancel after ten days before the exam no refund is applicable.

We reserve the right to cancel the course under certain circumstances, such as low registration numbers. If this happens, we will advise you as soon as possible, and give you a full refund. We are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred if the course is cancelled.
