In the challenging environment of the contemporary health system, managers will be required to provide organisational leadership to ensure that services continue to evolve to meet the changing community needs and the changing service delivery challenges.

Cost

Workshop only modules - $1,535 (GST inclusive)

You can choose to complete the workshop module without the assessment component and receive recognition of course participation.

Workshop and assessment modules - $2,047 (GST inclusive)

Assessment includes an Examination and Essay. You will need to successfully complete the assessment modules to be eligible for credit towards postgraduate qualifications

Australian College of Health Service Managers discount

This course covers:

  • governance, including clinical governance
  • continuous quality improvement
  • organisational performance and evaluation
  • media and communications
  • strategic policy, planning and evaluation
  • community and staff engagement.

Outcomes

On completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • understand the principles and concepts of organisational governance and the systems and structures required to exact governance
  • understand and apply the principles and concepts of quality management and continuous quality improvement
  • demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate organisational performance and report
  • demonstrate the ability to manage media and communications both internally and externally
  • apply the principles and practice of policy development, planning and evaluation
  • understand and demonstrate personal attributes and leadership skills and the ability to engage staff and the community and to lead strategic negotiations
  • demonstrate an in depth understanding of the relevance of Indigenous and International Health Issues to health management.

Payment

When you register for the course, you will create an account with us and pay your fees online by credit or debit card (preferred payment option). There is an option to pay via invoice, if payment by credit/debit card is not possible.

You can access your account, including your invoice, using your email address and password.

Australian College of Health Service Manager discount

FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for Continuing Professional Education courses.

Late registration

Late registrations may be accepted upon request to the Office of Continuing Professional Education.

Cancellation

To cancel your registration, you must apply in writing to the Course Manager at the Office of Continuing Professional Education.

If you withdraw before the registration closing date, your tuition fees will be refunded less $100. No refunds are applicable after this date.

We reserve the right to cancel the course under certain circumstances, such as low registration numbers. If this happens we will advise you as soon as possible and give you a full refund.

We are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred if the course is cancelled.
