Details

Master of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) provides advanced-level studies for registered teachers. This dedicated study area allows teachers to upgrade their qualifications with a focus on early childhood teaching, and includes a field experience component (practicum).

The course will enable you to develop in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understandings of current research, theory and practice that will inform effective teaching and learning with young children and their families in early years programs and services.

Practicum

Master of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) includes a 20-day (four weeks) field experience with children in an early childhood setting. You may choose between the Field Studies in Early Childhood or Field Studies in Early Childhood: Birth to 5 Years practicum units. These units will enable you to draw upon your professional knowledge and experience in planning, implementing and evaluating learning experiences for and with young children, their families and communities.

Career outcomes
