Dean’s Scholars are highly sought after by industry as the potential future leaders in engineering. The Dean’s Scholars Program is the only scholarship and development program of its kind in Queensland, offering outstanding students a scholarship to complete studies in engineering, opportunities to access valuable industry exposure, international exchange programs, and mentoring.

The Program is open to Australian and international students with outstanding academic ability and leadership potential, who are entering university from Year 12 or a gap year.

If you are accepted into the Dean’s Scholars Program, your scholarship will give you a real head start. As a Dean’s Scholar you will network with current industry leaders in a range of organised forums including:

  • company site visits with major industry players, which give you the opportunity to experience high-level engineering management and environments
  • an annual leadership dinner
  • networking events relating to industry and associations
  • close interaction with senior academics with strong industry links.

Built Environment and Engineering Dean’s Scholars (BEEDS) is a networking and professional development group open to past and present Dean’s Scholars, industry partners and professional staff.

Units

Work Integrated Learning unit

Bachelor of Engineering students are required to complete at least 60 days of industrial experience in an engineering environment approved by the course coordinator as part of the Work Integrated Learning unit.

Your actual fees may vary depending on which units you choose. All fees are based on current fixed fee prices. We review fees annually.
