Eligible students include:

• undergraduate marketing students
• masters marketing students.

Undergraduate applicants

You must:

• be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate single Business degree course in the QUT Business School
• be studying Marketing as your primary major
• have completed a minimum of 192 credit points towards your degree at the beginning of Semester 1, 2012.

Masters applicants

You must:

• be currently enrolled full-time in your masters degree in the QUT Business School
• have completed a minimum of 48 credit points of your course and have a minimum of 48 credit points to complete at the beginning of Semester 1, 2012.

You will receive $10,000 as:

• a lump sum
• HECS-HELP or reimbursement if already paid
• a study stipend/allowance each semester.

Submit your written application by the due date to the QUT Business School's Scholarships, Prizes and Awards Officer.

• your desire to build a career in marketing and aspiration to being a leader in business and the community
• evidence of applied understanding of marketing concepts, theory and practice
• evidence of personal and professional achievements and qualities
• leadership qualities and potential
• aptitude and passion for marketing and business
• a willingness to mentor QUT marketing students after you have completed your degree and gained real world experience in your career.

If you're shortlisted, we'll invite you to attend an interview with the selection panel. Interviews will be in the week commencing 28 November 2011.

Whether you're successful or not, we'll advise you in writing of the outcome of your application.

You must remain enrolled in full-time study to complete their study program.

You can't change from the degree listed on your application, unless it's a result of university changes.

The Su Mon Wong Scholarship for Excellence in Marketing is named in honour of long-term former QUT marketing lecturer, Su Mon Wong, who served the Faculty of Business, students and alumni for 34 years before retiring at the end of 2009.

The Su Mon Wong Scholarship Program has been established to award an annual Su Mon Wong Scholarship to an outstanding marketing student in their final year of study. Each scholarship recipient will demonstrate the values embodied by Su Mon Wong throughout his QUT career: leadership, innovation and a commitment to excellence in marketing and business practice.
