You must be applying to study with the Graduate School of Business for the first time.

We'll assess applications based on:

• GMAT score
• previous grade point average (GPA)
• work history
• a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words
• your detailed CV
• referee reports.
  

You must also be accepted into the Masters of Business Administration or Masters of Business Administration (Major). 

You'll receive either:

• a quarter, half, or full-fee waiver
• a merit scholarship.

Merit scholarships are awarded at:

• $500 for a GMAT score of 600-699
• $1,000 for a GMAT score of 700 or more.

If you receive a merit scholarship but not a fee waiver scholarship, we may also award a rebate on tuition fees.

To apply for a Tuition Waiver scholarship, you must complete the MBA scholarship application form.

Submit the form when you apply for your MBA.

How to apply for postgraduate courses

You don't need to submit an application for the merit scholarships.

The Scholarships Committee will assess your application.

We'll let you know by email whether you're successful or unsuccessful.

If you're successful, you must formally accept and acknowledge the conditions of the scholarship by advising the Graduate School of Business in writing by the date stated in your offer. 

You must:

• maintain a GPA of 5.5 throughout your studies
• get approval if you're deferring your studies for more that one teaching period.

The tuition fee waiver:

• is for the time limit of your course completion. Any leave of absence or other approved leave that you take will be included in calculating time limits
• does not apply to units that you might take outside the MBA program
• does not apply to units that you fail or withdraw from with financial penalty.

• don't fulfill course requirements or maintain satisfactory course progress
• don't resume studying after deferring for one year
• transfer to another program at QUT.

The QUT Graduate School of Business Master of Business Administration (MBA) is designed for people who can make a valuable contribution to the learning experience and have personal characteristics necessary to succeed in the course.

There are a number of merit scholarships for exceptional applicants into the MBA or MBA (Major) courses. Successful applicants are expected to be actively involved in the QUT Graduate School of Business community as leaders.
