Background
The Mathematics Bursary Program was established to foster studies in mathematics and statistics. Each year a limited number of bursaries are sponsored by industry partners or by the Discipline of Mathematical Sciences. The purpose of these bursaries are to assist fulltime domestic students starting the Bachelor of Mathematics or a mathematics double degree with business, information technology, science or engineering.
Queensland Treasury is the major industry sponsor of the Mathematics Bursary Program. Each year, Queensland Treasury will sponsor one new bursary recipient as part of the Faculty's Mathematics Bursary Program.
The Mathematics Bursary Program is not open to students who currently study or have previously studied mathematics at university.
