Eligibility details
You must be:
- a currently enrolled research higher degree student
- the principal author presenting a paper at an overseas international conference
- have confirmed candidature (if relevant) prior to travelling.
You will be given priority if:
- you have not previously received a grant from this scheme.
If you are a QUT staff member:
- you are only eligible if you can provide proof that no other university or faculty funding is available.
What you receive
You'll recieve:
- up to 70% of the value of a return economy airfare
- up to the full cost of student conference registration.
How to apply
- Complete the International Conference Support Grants-in-Aid application form (PDF file, 118.72 KB) and your supporting documents.
- Make a copy of your application and supporting documents.
- Submit both the original and the copy to the Faculty of Education Research - Administration Officer.
What happens next
An appointed faculty committee will prepare a merit list of applications and submit them to the Education Research Executive for approval and allocation of funding.
A Faculty Grants-in-Aid committee will meet in April and November and if you're successful, you will be notified in writing shortly after the meeting.
Conditions
Offers made to successful applicants remain valid for up to nine months after the date of offer.
