Eligibility details

You must:

  • have confirmed candidature
  • be the principal/first author presenting a refereed paper at a national conference.

You will be given priority if:

  • you have not previously received a grant
  • you are concluding your research.

What you receive

You'll receive financial support towards:

  • conference registration
  • return airfare
  • accommodation
  • expenses.

How to apply

Step 1: Complete the application form

You must complete and submit the application form for domestic conference support (PDF file, 113.65 KB).

Step 2: Gather your supporting documents

You must also submit the following:

  • a statement outlining how attendance at the conference will enhance your research studies
  • a supporting statement from your supervisor confirming that the paper being presented covers original, ongoing research, is largely your own work, reports recent findings, and is directly related to your thesis topic
  • a copy of your paper
  • details of the conference, including registration costs and status of papers
  • verification from the conference organiser that your paper has been accepted
  • a full budget for the trip and how you propose to fund the trip
  • quotes for transport costs from QUT-approved travel providers (STA Travel, BTI Aust., and Campus Travel).

Step 3: Submit your application

Submit your application form and supporting documents to the Faculty of Education Research - Administration Officer.
