Eligibility details

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • completed year 12 (or a gap year) in 2012
  • applied for a full-time position in a bachelor degree in one of QUT's Science and Engineering Faculty courses
  • are expecting to achieve an OP 1-5 or equivalent
  • are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder.

What you receive

You'll receive:

  • $3,000.

Up to ten awards will paid to successful applicants in one payment after census date of semester 1, 2013.

 

How to apply

We won't consider your application if you don't answer all questions in the correct format.

We won't return your documents, so don't submit originals. Copies do not need to be certified.

Bring your application to the International and Engagement Office as detailed on the application form.

What happens next

A selection panel will assess the applications and allocate the award to students who have:

  • excelled in their secondary education
  • demonstrated an ongoing, active participation in extra-curricular activities and/or community service
  • undertaken leadership roles within their school or communities.

There are no interviews for this scholarship.

If you're successful, we'll contact you in January. If you're not successful, we'll notify you by mail.

Although you may have been successful in your scholarship application, this does not mean that you're automatically accepted into a course within the Science and Engineering Faculty. You must still be successful in your QTAC application.

Conditions

You must:

  • be enrolled full-time in a bachelor degree within the Science and Engineering Faculty at QUT at semester 1, 2013 census date.

You can't:

  • defer your enrolment
  • hold another QUT Vice-Chancellor or Science and Engineering Faculty scholarship.
