You must:

• be a current member of ADAPE (Association of Development and Alumni Professionals in Education), and your membership must continue through your studies
• have declared Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies as your major
• be experiencing financial hardship
• have some demonstrated contribution to the education sector through roles in:
  • development
  • fundraising
  • alumni relations
  • communications and marketing
  • public relations
  • admissions and enrolment
  • external affairs
  • community engagement
  • business marketing
• show potential to further contribute to the education sector.

You'll receive:

• a scholarship to cover 50% of your tuition fees for your Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies units.

2. You'll need to provide proof of your circumstances. Your application may be at a disadvantage without supporting documents. If you can't provide official documentation, you may be able to submit a statutory declaration.
3. You may include additional supporting evidence,such as written references, with your application.
4. Include certified copies of any academic records from institutions other than QUT.
5. Send your application to the Australian Centre for Philanthropy Nonprofit Studies.

All applications will be assessed by a selection panel consisting of:

• Executive Dean, QUT Business School (or nominee)
• Nominee fo ADAPE Australasia
• Subject Area Coordinator, The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies
• President, ACPNS Alumni Chapter

The panel will assess applications based primarily on the information you provide. The selection panel may decide to shortlist and interview candidates.

We'll announce the panel's decision by the end of March and July each year. If you're successful, we'll notify you in writing.

You will receive your tuition fee reimbursement only if you successfully complete the applicable units.

If you fail to successfully complete a unit, you won't receive your scholarship payment.

We will calculate travel grant payments based on receipts for your travel to and from the orientation and intensive program sessions, including:

• accommodation
• meals
• travel costs.

The ADAPE ACPNS Scholarship is designed to assist members of ADAPE (Association of Development and Alumni Professionals in Education) Australasia to undertake study through The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) to further their careers and enhance their contribution to the Australasian education and nonprofit sectors.
