Details
Students pursue supervised postgraduate research in justice-related topics. The course offers formal recognition for original advanced research. Students develop their research and analytical skills, advancing their career possibilities.
Units
Course structure
Students undertake applied research on an approved topic, which involves both an appropriate theoretical perspective and a specific orientation to professional practice and application.
The thesis that students submit for their degree should be not less than 50,000 words and should constitute a substantial contribution to knowledge and understanding in the student’s area of research.

Entry requirements
The following persons shall be eligible to apply for admission as a student for the degree:
1 A person who has completed the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Justice (Honours) of QUT, or
2 A person who has completed a qualification that is deemed equivalent and possesses appropriate research skills or substantial professional experience in the proposed field of research as deemed appropriate by the Course Coordinator, or
3 A person who has professional publications, etc that the Course Coordinator and the Faculty Research Committee accept as proof of a students advanced knowledge and research ability in the proposed field of research.
Course fees
Your actual fees may vary depending on which units you choose. All fees are based on current fixed fee prices. We review fees annually.
Aust citizens or PRs will be awarded an RTS/RTA place or a QUT sponsorship for tuition fees. If you exceed the max time, you may be charged - 2013: $9,600 (indicative) per Semester (subject to annual review)
