Details
The Master of Business (Accounting) provides advanced-level studies for students with an appropriate accountancy degree.
Studies will extend your ability to gather and interpret financial and other information for business decision making and forensic investigation.
Career outcomes
These courses build on skills and knowledge developed in your undergraduate degree. They prepare you for roles in the emerging areas of wealth management and financial forensics, business intelligence and investigation, and business analysis. The courses will prepare you for advanced leadership roles in commerce and industry, government organisations and public practice.
Professional recognition
Certain units may assist with preparation for the professional programs offered by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants as part of their respective membership requirements, and for the Chartered Financial Analysts program.

Course design
Students must undertake 192 credit points consisting of 36 credit points of compulsory units and 156 credit points of approved accounting coursework or research option units.
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Commerce within the last five years, may be eligible for exemptions up to a maximum of 48 credit points.Students who have completed the CPA Program with CPA Australia in last the five years or the Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in the last five years may be eligible for exemptions up to a maximum of 96 credit points. Facilities
Full-time students are provided with modern, well-appointed office space (which includes access to a desk, computer and telephone). There are break-out areas and meeting rooms where supervisors and industry partners can meet with their students. Discussion groups and small classes are also held in the meeting rooms. These premises offer new and continuing students a work environment conducive to study and progress and demonstrate a continuing commitment to the postgraduate program.

You will receive individual supervision by a highly qualified and experienced academic staff member who will guide you through your advanced study.

Entry requirements
To enrol in this course a students must have an undergraduate degree in Accounting with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 (on a 7 point scale)
Course fees
Your actual fees may vary depending on which units you choose. All fees are based on current fixed fee prices. We review fees annually.
2013: $10,200 (indicative) per 48 credit points (subject to annual review)
