Details

This study area is suitable if you want a Graduate Certificate in Education qualification but don’t want to specialise in a particular area. This course aims to prepare students for professional education careers by enhancing knowledge, creativity, initiative and planning. It will provide students with an advanced body of knowledge in professional education practices and recent developments in the field.  

Career outcomes

Graduates are prepared to apply knowledge gained to real-life working situations. Graduates may choose to work as an educator within their chosen professional field, or use the skills and knowledge gained across a diverse range of disciplines.

Units

Students can elect to graduate with a No Major/Study Area Graduate Certificate in Education, comprising of any four (4) units of study selected from the ED61 OPTION UNITS listed in the 'All course structures' link below.

Entry requirements

An appropriate four (4) year Bachelor degree or equivalent at a standard acceptable to the Executive Dean or a three (3) year Bachelor degree or equivalent at a standard acceptable to the Executive Dean PLUS at least one year of appropriate professional or industrial experience.  (Applicants who have completed a three (3) year Bachelor degree or equivalent are asked to supply an original copy of a letter from their employer outlining details of their employment history)

Course fees

Your actual fees may vary depending on which units you choose. All fees are based on current fixed fee prices. We review fees annually.

2013: CSP $3,000 (indicative) per Semester (48 credit points) (subject to annual review)
