- Navigate health law issues in your workplace and learn the intricacies of health laws that are directly relevant to your profession.

Specially designed for non-law professionals, the 2 core units will give you a solid grounding of Australia's legal system, so you don't need any legal experience or a law degree to get the most out of this course.
- Some of the units are offered online so you can study when it's convenient for you.
- The health major is only available in part-time mode if you begin in Semester 1 (February). It is available both full-time and part-time in Semester 2 (July).

You can complete the 4 units either full-time (one semester) or part-time (one year) to fit with your life style.

You will have access to 24-hour on-campus computer and technology facilities and the Clayton Utz Law Library.

Details
Some units in health law will be taught by Professor Ben White, Dr Fiona McDonald, and Professor Lindy Willmott, who jointly wrote Australia's first book on national health law, Health Law in Australia published in 2010. You will have access to three of Australia's leading experts on health law and be inspired by their dedication and passion.
Senior medical staff, health administrators and managers will gain specialised knowledge in this course to excel their career and navigate heath law issues confidently. Choose from units including death decisions, consent and clinical negligence, international health policy, health care economics and leadership in health management. The two compulsory units will give you an overview of Australia's common law system and health care law and ethics.

Units
Senior medical staff, health administrators and managers will gain specialised knowledge to excel their career and manage heath law issues confidently. Choose from units including genetic technologies, conception and birth, biotechnology law, children's health, guardianship, health care economics, quality management and risk management. The two compulsory units will give you an over view of Australia's common law system and health care law and ethics. Depending on the elective units you choose, you may be taught by lecturers who literally wrote the book on health law in Australia. The Health major not available full-time if you begin in semester one (February). It’s available both full-time and part-time in semester two (July).

An undergraduate degree (other than law) from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum GPA of 4.0
Course fees
