Whether you are considering postgraduate study to secure a promotion, a career change or to pursue your lifelong love of learning, here are the Top 10 PDF reasons why students choose postgraduate study at QUT.

QUT understands that postgraduate students are often juggling work and family commitments.  To help you fit study into your busy life, lectures are generally held on weeknights, study materials can be accessed online and many subjects have flexible assessment options.

We also offer mid-year entry into a number of postgraduate courses to allow you to start studying in July, and have a growing selection of units on offer in the Summer Program, for students looking to fast-track their postgraduate course with a third period of study.

Research programs

QUT believes its success lies in meeting the real-world needs of students, industry and the community through research and research training that is collaborative, multi-disciplinary and purpose driven.

The Research page offers detailed information on QUT’s research areas of expertise, institutes and centres, industry collaboration and services and support for students. Or visit the Research Students Centre website.

Coursework programs

QUT offers postgraduate coursework programs leading to graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters and professional doctorates. The courses are often nested in design, so that one course leads directly towards the next level.

Entry requirements will vary from course to course, and we recommend that you view each individual course sheet for further information.  However, generally the standard entry requirement for a graduate certificate is an undergraduate degree or equivalent in any field with an overall minimum grade point average of 4 (on a 7-point scale).  International students must meet English language proficiency requirements.

Studyfinder provides information on courses, study areas and relevant supporting services and facilities. Studyfinder can help match your skills and interests to the right course.
