For entry into a QUT postgraduate coursework or research program you must apply directly to the University using the appropriate application form.

When applying for postgraduate coursework entry to a QUT graduate certificate, graduate diploma or masters, you will need to apply using a PG form, except for the Graduate Diploma in Education, where applications are lodged via QTAC.

When applying for postgraduate research entry to a masters by research, professional doctorate or doctor of philosophy, you need to apply using a PR form.

Applications for International students are made by submitting a QUT International Application form (F form) for postgraduate coursework programs or an FR form for postgraduate research courses to either QUT International or one of QUT's authorised representatives. For further information visit QUT International.

Advanced Standing may be available to students who have undertaken previous postgraduate study. QUT has produced a list of advanced standing that has been approved by faculties in the past. Units not included on this list will be assessed by individual faculties.

QUT's enrolment processes are managed through the Enrolments Office in Student Business Services.

Fees for every QUT postgraduate course are published online. In addition, there are a number of additional study costs such as possible membership to the QUT Student Guild, text books and stationery that need to be considered.

Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP) is a suite of loans for Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas. Eligible postgraduate students may apply for FEE-HELP to pay for their tuition fees.

The QUT Student Fees Office has detailed a list of Fees FAQ which lists answers to some commonly asked questions relating to university fees.

Scholarships play a significant role in financial support for postgraduate students. QUT has a range of coursework and sporting scholarships on offer as well as scholarships for research higher degree students. Please see the QUT Scholarships website for further details.

Postgraduate coursework and research students can also participate in the QUT Student Exchange Program, where participants are able to study for one semester at a QUT partner institution in Asia, Europe or North America and earn full credit towards their QUT degree. Some scholarships are also available.
