Professional printing and publishing services are available to the university's departments and faculties, students and the wider community, from within the university.
Copying and printing
QUT Printing Services provides copy and print services to students and staff ranging from laser printing facilities in computer laboratories on all campuses to high volume printing of course materials, conference proceedings etc at a central facility in Milton. Digital colour printing and large-size colour output (up to A1) are also available. Services include:
- Black and white, and colour photocopying
- Black and white and colour computer file printing
- Photocopier rentals to departments
- Laminating
- Transparency copying
- Plan and poster printing
- Binding.
Bulk printing of course materials, lecture notes, theses, conference proceedings and other administrative and academic documents are also carried out by QUT Printing Services.
Publishing services
The Publications Unit provides professional publishing services to the university's departments and faculties, students and the wider community. The Publications Unit also offers editing, professional design services by qualified graphic designers, and printing of all promotional materials for the university.
The QUT Photo Database is an online tool available to QUT staff that can be used for searching and building portfolios of images for use in QUT media production.
Web publishing
The QUT Web Team provides web hosting, policy-compliant web templates, training and support for University organisational units to create and publish their own websites.
Web Solutions provides a full range of cost recovery web publishing services to client areas across the University, as well as creating a variety of web-based solutions from simple forms through to complex custom three-tier web applications.
