QUT offers many enjoyable options for eating and drinking. Canteens serve juices, sandwiches, snacks and hot dishes covering a range of international cuisines. Halal and vegetarian meals are available on all campuses. Stylish cafés offer excellent coffee and light meals, and the QUT Student Guild runs a licensed club on each campus.

Cafe Merlot, a licenced café at Gardens Point campus, offers coffee, pastries, cakes and light meals. Artisans Café on the same campus serves fresh juices, coffee, meals, cakes and pastries. The Guild Bar has pool tables, live entertainment and an outdoor eatery with bistro food.

At Kelvin Grove the menu at Beadles Café includes hot meals from a variety of cuisines, salads, cakes, pastries, coffee and cold drinks. The Campus Club is a licensed café serving light meals and cold drinks for students and staff.

Carseldine's Red Café is a modern venue where staff and students can enjoy a coffee, meals or a light snack. The Carseldine Courtyard Bar operates throughout semesters and offers cheap beer and food.

Campus shops

The campus shops at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove sell items such as calculators, QUT memorabilia, sportswear, shoes, chemist lines, cigarettes and other goods, and provide photo developing and dry cleaning services. At Carseldine, many of these services are available at the Student Resource Centre.
