For research students, the relationship with their supervisor is paramount to their success. Quality supervision is complementary to the development of a quality research career and career outputs. 

Supervising research students is a skill that requires ongoing attention and training to ensure the best possible experience for the student.

At QUT, all supervisors are reviewed for accreditation by their Faculty and university.  Their research activity, supervisor experience, and training and academic qualifications are assessed. 

Supervisors can access appropriate resources to assist them in their work through QUT’s training programs and seminars.
