Researchers at QUT have access to a wide range of skilled support services, including advice about research procedures and the University's research policies.

Office of Research
The Office of Research, within the Division of Research and Commercialisation, supports and stimulates the development of QUT's research profile through the provision of expert advice and assistance to the research community.

Research Development
The University provides expert advice and assistance to the QUT research community on research grant issues, coordinating and submitting QUT research grant applications and managing the grant acceptance process. The Office of Research provides a registered contact point for external granting agencies, and applications for support from competitively-based and all other funding agencies must be administered through the Office. This allows for the professional and efficient administration of research grant activity within the University.

Research Data
The University collects, analyses, monitors and reports research performance indicators, with specific emphasis on research grants and publications, on a comparative national, institutional, faculty, school, centre and individual staff basis, using the ResearchMaster database.

Research Ethics
The University has established research ethics expectations to ensure that research practices at QUT conform to the appropriate external standards. Areas and issues which are relevant to research ethics include human research ethics, animal use, biosafety and genetic manipulation guidelines.
