Overview

Project status: In progress

The Australian Electoral Commission notes that the nation's citizens have not just the right but the responsibility to vote. But what informs citizens when they vote? This study will investigate this question from the perspective of information experience. A focus on experience offers a holistic approach to understanding peoples’ engagement with information. It takes into account the interrelations between people and their broader environments in a manner, which considers people and their world as inseparable. It also provides deep insights into the ways in which people relate to their informational life-worlds.

This study will investigate people’s information experiences during an election (more specifically the Queensland State election).

We are looking for participants. If you are eligible to vote in the Queensland state election, you are invited to take part in this study.
