Overview
Project status: In progress
Bactrocera tryoni is Australia's worst insect pest of horticulture. Current management options for B. tryoni are in crisis because of the likely withdrawal of key pesticides. Systems approaches, which use a series of linked steps to reduce the risk of crop infestation, are the most likely alternative. This research will underpin the development of a systems approach for B. tryoni management.
