Overview
Research in this program focuses on a broad range of issues relating to forensic accounting investigation, information security, IT governance and risk management.
Researchers from the fields of accountancy, forensics, law and risk management investigate the growing incidence of corporate fraud, governance of IT processes, information security issues relating to social networking media and the legal ramifications of denial of service attacks. Collaborative industry-based research projects examine fraud investigative techniques, IT and Corporate Governance in relation to information security as well as social networking and graduate capabilities. In addition, researchers are examining how the forensic accounting industry is developing, identifying trends in the use of social networking media for investigating fraud and identifying the skills, education and qualifications needed for the Australian forensic accounting industry.
