This project is working collaboratively with CIEAM industry partners to develop a career framework that identifies the roles and competencies required for key levels of engineering asset management.
A self report inventory will be developed based on the career framework to facilitate at both an individual and organisational level the identification of development areas to be addressed to assist in career progression and succession planning in the asset management area. The research also explores the factors that facilitate and inhibit career progression in this area of engineering and also the learning culture which encourages and sustains the learning and development of asset engineers.
