Overview
Topic status: In progress
Description
This project is the initial phase of a study involving the economic evaluation of antimicrobial guidelines and audit processes such as drug utilisation evaluation.
Research activities
A literature search of published studies involving the evaluation of antimicrobial guidelines and audit processes will be undertaken to determine current reported outcomes. A written report will summarise the findings.
Expected outcomes
We anticipate that the project will indicate the research that has been undertaken to value antimicrobial guidelines and audit processes. This will form the basis for the future evaluation of antimicrobial guidelines and audit processes in developing countries.
Duration
We anticipate that the project will run in November and December 2011 for 6 weeks with a commitment of 15 hours per week.
