Overview

Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.

E-learning has been adopted in both educational and corporate settings, and today its use is widespread.  The question is however, at what stage do we remove the “e” from the equation and just consider the use of technology as just another tool available to learning and development practitioners?  Is there a need to still view e-learning as “other” rather than just an alternative technique to use when appropriate?  The student will be encouraged to investigate how companies are using technology in the learning environment and the extent to which e-learning is seen as different to other forms of training.
