Role of epigenetics (histone acetylation) in the control of gene and protein expression in airway inflammation in exercise and asthma

Epigenetics refers to heritable changes in gene expression which are not coded in an individuals DNA. This is a primary area of research in asthma and an emerging area in exercise. This area is of particular interest in the environmental contribution to the genomic response in both exercise and asthma.
