A number of opportunities exist in developing mathematical models of human social activity and systems. These include research in areas such as the effects of alcohol and other licit and illicit drugs on society, dynamics of human opinion/belief, and the study of the interaction between belief and non-belief in human societies. These research projects generally employ methodologies including ordinary and partial differential equations and agent-based models.
