Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
Various possibilities exist for projects in mathematical biology, particularly at the level of cellular biology. These include constructing and solving (numerically and analytically) models of the host immune response to tumour growth and infectious diseases such as Chlamydia trachomatis. Modelling methodologies include ordinary and partial differential equations as well as cellular automata and agent-based models.- Study level
