Research projects dealing with various aspects of carbonate sedimentology are offered with an environmental focus. A variety of projects can be developed on the palaeoecology, diagenesis and/or sedimentological studies of Holocene coral reefs in Moreton Bay. These projects will involve field work and laboratory work for palaeoenvironmental reconstruction. Other projects can be developed to investigate aspects of diagenesis on the Great Barrier Reef and would involve petrologic, SEM and geochemical analysis possibly with some field component.- Study level
