Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.

The aim of this project is to develop low computational cost pattern recognition algorithms for the recognition of underwater marked poles (on which the robot docks). The target platform is a small UAV whose embedded PC is about 10 times slower than a laptop. We would like to explore a novel idea based on particle filters and Markov random fields. This project will require you to learn OpenCV.
