Overview
Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
This project will research the assessment of creative works for funding allocations. The past work on the ACID Press project will be used initially to inform the project direction for a starting point for this implementation. As MediaFlux software that will be used (supplied by QUT) already incorporates annotation capabilities, an assessment of it's capabilities vs. any from other systems will be made on the basis of the best fit for purpose and most robust annotation implementation. The implementation will be used as a basis for researching the collaboration in Creative Industries between peers, staff and commentators, and the collaborative assessment mechanisms facilitated by the project implementation. The research will identify the workflow for collaboration and review decision making; explore the design of interaction and interface systems/experiences that support and enable identified workflow within organisations; Build a metadata model to support representation of rich media creative works, university contexts, assessment contexts, collaboration contexts, security contexts, annotations kept in security domains, and Research security, privacy and copyright requirements for portfolio management.
