Project Summary
The 1-click browser is a Firefox and Chrome plug-in developed at QUT, and which allows user to navigate websites by only sending a single click information to the computer. A single click is the only way that people affected by total paralysis such as locked-in syndrome can communicate.
At this stage the plug-in is only able to comfortably navigate on a few website, and this project will be exploring a framework for expanding the navigation by proposing a classification of website designs that can be mapped according to similar rules by the software. Depending on time and students skills, the mapping for some of the categories will also be implemented.
Expected outcomes, applications and/or benefits
