The proposed research investigates the environmental impact of opening the Go Between Bridge and the resulting traffic change.
Hypothesis/Aims: In order to improve traffic conditions on Hale St and Coronation Dr, and cut north-south bound commuters' trip time, a new cross-river bridge was constructed from the end of Hale St, Toowong to Musgrave Rd, West End. Therefore, the aim of the project is to assess the impact of the new bridge on ambient air quality within the local area.
Approaches: This will be achieved by analysing the detailed collected data of the particles (both in terms of number and mass) and gaseous pollutants before and after the completion of the bridge.
