Overview
Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
Research has revealed that responses from targets of workplace sexual harassment to their perpetrators are often, for various reasons, passive and non-confrontational. However, anecdotal evidence suggests that targets use a range of individual-level, informal or private strategies in attempt to cease the harassment they are experiencing. These strategies may be at least partially effective.
This study utilises existing data sets to explore informal and individual-level responses to workplace sexual harassment. It seeks to contribute to recommendations for strategies that compliment those at the level of organisations and the law.
