This project specifically designed to examine palaeo-environments at key archeologically sites on the Gold coast. This project will involve vibracoring, hand auguring, sedimentological, litho-stratigraphic, geo-chronological and bio-stratigraphic data collection from fluvial floodplain sequences and marginal marine environments with the aim of reconstructing palaeo-depositional environments over the last glacial cycle. The project is in collaboration with Queensland Museum, Quaternary scientists from the University of Queensland and the Gold Coast Aboriginal community and Gold Coast City Council.
