Blood donation by younger donors is a critical part of ensuring the blood supply for the nation however donor rates are not increasing. Trends in social marketing are showing effective use of games and apps for changing behaviour in areas such as drinking, smoking and eating. This project seeks to identify how blood donation could be increased by using games and apps, particularly targetting Gen Y donors. This project links to current real world research being done at QUT in conjunction with the Australian Red Cross Blood Donation Service.- Study level
