Evolutionary design and optimisation investigates how to use evolutionary computation techniques to solve the large-scale and complex real-world design and optimisation problems in various domains. Evolutionary computation techniques, including genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming, evolutionary strategies, differential evolution, genetic programming, ant colony optimisation, particle warm optimisation, artificial immune systems, and memetic algorithms, have achieved tremendous success and generated huge attention among the researchers and practitioners for dealing with design and optimisation problems of different kinds. This project aims to identify new large-scale and intractable real-world design and optimisation problems, and tackle them using evolutionary computation methods.
