Sound is an interesting way to monitor environmental health. This project aims to use citizen scientists to collect and analyse sound data with a view to education and environmental monitoring. The goal is to research and design web and mobile applications to aid the recognition, collection and analysis of environmental sounds. The project could target a particular segment of the community like schools. The project suits students with an interest in mobile computing, design and creativity, education and the environment.
