Overview

Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.

Many organisations are turning to the use of technology to facilitate training and its use continues to grow.  With this e-learning comes the use of learning management systems as either stand-alone technologies or as a part of other organisational systems.  Whilst there is growing research about the use of e-learning, key questions remains as to what drives organisations to choose e-learning, what selection criteria are used, and how do these relate to the relative success or failure of e-learning initiatives. There is also a question of who is driving the selection of learning management systems: the learning and development professionals, or other key stakeholders?  This project would give the student an opportunity to delve into these questions further.
