Topic status: We're looking for students to study this topic.
The project aims to develop a web-based cost management service for workflow systems. This web service will support the ability to monitor the administrative costs of workflows in real-time, the ability to carry out cost predictions and the ability to perform post-execution cost analysis using workflow logs. The project will also look into the development of a cost configuration support wizard within the process editor. In this research, we will make use of the logging capacity of the YAWL framework together with the analysis capacities of the Process Mining framework- ProM (http://www.processmining.org)to develop a sophisticated cost management service.
